Assistance in acute emergencies

A certain portion of the donated money is used to help people in acute emergency situations. These include:

  • the Corona emergency aid - more info on this in our current situation report
  • the assumption of costs in case of illness for our sponsored children and their relatives
  • Poor Patients Fund (note: link) - in cooperation with St. Francis Hospital - assisting with treatment costs for people who without help would have to do without vital operations / treatments
  • Social project - in cooperation with the parish - financial support for people who, through no fault of their own, have fallen into emergency situations and are therefore no longer able to feed themselves and their families
  • Refurbishment of residential huts, e.g.. E.g. new corrugated iron for rain protection
  • new construction of residential huts that are on the verge of collapse
  • the distribution of mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets as well as cooking utensils and water canisters to those in need
.

In this way, many families have already been helped to overcome an acute crisis. It continues to be a particular concern of ours to be able to provide unbureaucratic help to people in such or similar emergency situations.
